Karate

I know it's been 5 months since my last/only blog... but give me a break, I lost my blog! Yes... I said it. I LOST MY BLOG. Who does that anyways? So, now I found it and we'll see how well I keep up with it!....

I'll start with recent stuff and work my way backwards for the 5 months! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We decided to let Jacob and Michael take a shot at Karate.
It was on a Saturday and it was FREE so what the heck?
This lady thought she was TEACHING them something...
What she didn't know is that Jacob's got his black belt in punching
and Michael has his in kicking!
We decided to sign Jacob up b/c he really liked it and Michael lost interest (go figure).
So far in two classes they've popped like popcorn!
(POP! POP! POP!)
They get to run accross the bags
(or the "River with Alligators in it" as my child says)
.... AND MY MOST FAVORITE PART......
They have to say "Respect" every time they bow!
I love it. Jacob loves it. He has fun and the teacher is really good. I've offered Michael Karate classes as an incentive to potty train. Here's my new saying... "If you tee tee in the potty, you get to take Karate" :)
I'll be taking the Adult classes free for 4 weeks. We'll see how that goes!
Dental Anxiety
Our Conversation on the way to the Dentist:
Him: "I don't want to get my teeth cleaned"
Me: "Do you want stinky breath?"
Him: "Yes"
Me: "Do you want your teeth to fall out?"
Him: "if they fall out, do I still have to get them cleaned?"
Me: "You won't have any teeth to clean"
Him: "ok, then I want ALL of my teeth to fall out"
He did EXCEPTIONALLY well with the teeth x-rays, despite the terrified look on his face!
When we got into the office, I said "Hop in the chair baby!"
You can clearly see the chair he picked, acting all non-chalant watching Spongebob with the headphones.
You couldn't help but laugh at him.
We finally coaxed him down into the "correct" chair and I felt so bad. Just look at that face... it's the face of "Mom, how could you do this to me?"
... Yeah ... He freked out when the hygenist came in and at HER suggestion, I was able to happily partake in the toothpaste, water, and spit bath.
I'm Kidding... it wasn't that bad.
As you can tell from the look on his face, he is a VERY dramatic child. I don't know where on earth he gets it from.
See! HAPPY BOY! Not bad at ALL! =)
ONE final check by the Dentist (and in the chair BY HIMSELF) and we're done.
WHEW!
AND NOW FOR YOUR VIDEO ENJOYMENT!!!
